The Colombian Film Commission
The Colombian Film Commission is eager to facilitate the support large and small crews need to successfully bring any project to life.
Colombia's policy on filmmaking has enabled the industry to jump from one or two films a year in the nine¬ties, to almost 30 recently released or in the pipeline in the last couple of years. And, with insurance easier to obtain, foreign filmmakers are returning as well.
The forming of Colombia's Film Commission and the presence of major feature films including 'The Mission' starring Robert de Niro and Jeremy Irons, 'Cobra Verde' directed by Werner Herzog, 'Chronicle of a Foretold Death' directed by Francesco Rossi, 'Nostromo' starring Albert Finney and Claudia Cardinale, and the recently released 'Love in the Time of Cholera' directed by Mike Newell are a clear indication that the country's film industry is a profitable businness.
In Colombia we carry everything from Milo motion control to Arri 435 X-Treme. Any specialist equipment not available in Colombia can easily be shipped in from Miami and Colombian technical crews are experienced, enthusiastic and cost-efficient.
